Ring Modulation with Doepfer, AJH Synth and Analogue Systems

Here we have a short comparison of three ring modulators. The Doepfer A-114, AJH Synth Ring SM and Analogue Systems Ring-Mod.

All receive the same two VCO signals and are routed to a Doepfer A-138e 3-Way-Crossfader. The Doepfer is on channel A, AJH on channel B and Analogue Systems on channel C.

Supercritical Synthesizers workshop at SchneidersLaden

The most far-traveled guests of the 2019 autumn SchneidersLaden workshop season - Timo and Heiki from Supercritical Synthesizers.

The new module builders from Finland have brought the Demon Core Oscillator - powerful 16-VCOs in one module. After the wonderful and positively cheesy initial performance, the workshop continued with an exploration of the features and concepts behind the first Supercritical Synthesizers product. Also, Timo and Heiki revealed some of their favorite tricks!

Doepfer A-111-6 Miniature Synth Voice

The Doepfer A-111-6 contains a complete monophonic synthesizer with one oscillator, a -24dB low-pass filter, a VCA and a voltage controllable envelope generator. The synthesizer voice is internally pre-patched, so you only need to connect CV and Gate to play it. The VCO offers sawtooth, triangle and rectangle with pulse width modulation. In addition, the balance control allows you to add a sub-oscillator or external input. Despite its small size, this voice offers many options and a powerful sound!

Godeater Eurorack Distortion is coming!

Since its introduction at Superbooth 2017, a number of veteran musicians and producers all over the world have adopted an obscurely labelled pedal made in Bombay, India as their own.

Designed for bass distortion, the pedal became weapon of choice for instruments as diverse as the musicians using them. Today, the Godeater has won praise from and is used by Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten), Barry Burns (Mogwai), Caesar Edmunds (Assault & Battery Studios London), Boys Noize, Andrew (AnD), Merlin Ettore and Chris Whitten, to name but a few.

Available soon from Alex4!
